Leander, yo actualmente utilizo el 3ds Max 6, y modelo utilizando la técnica boxmodeling, pero tengo entendido que en Animation Master solo puede modelarse a partir de Splines.

Me refería a que no me iba a gastar las pelas en algo que luego no iba a terminar de convencerme en lo que ha modo de trabajo se refiere, pero si dices que lo puedes devolver en el plazo de 1 mes y que te devuelven el importe, me lo pensaré.

Esa es la política de hash, espero que te defiendas bien con el inglés, pide más información a ellos. Por supuesto, el sistema de modelado de a:m es completamente diferente, pero también fácil e intuitivo, pero si estas acostumbrado a trabajar con polígonos.

Yo trabajo ya con la 12. :win: A veces cuando tienes la escena muy cargada al darle al undo en la 11 hacía algo raro con la malla, con la 12 no ocurre.

Hombre, puedes esperar, pero, por lo menos en mi caso, si se que luego me va a costar conseguir el dinero, pues lo hago si en este momento estoy holgado.

He escuchado que es bueno actualizar en enero, pero no recuerdo la razón. Yo lo que suelo hacer es ir descargando y guardando las alphas, betas y cualquier actualización o parche. Nunca se sabe cuándo la cagan los desarrolladores y se queda una versión productiva atrás sin descargar.

Te pongo un ejemplo por si me explico mal:
Imagina que no actualizas sino hasta junio, en ese momento podrían ir por la v13.0g, pero resulta que esa versión tiene un bug muy chungo que no te permite hacer previos de render en shaded. Y resulta que la versión 13.0b era absolutamente no tenía ese problema. Quizás un bug en el sistema de partículas motivó la siguiente revisión, cosa que quizás a ti no te molesta porque no utilizas las partículas de a:m. Verías entonces mermada tu capacidad de producción con el programa. En el ftp no se suelen guardar todas las actualizaciones, por eso es útil ir guardándolas celosamente. Un abrazo.

La v13.0 reléase es exclusiva del CD 2006, mientras, como siempre, las alphas y betas funcionan con el disco en curso y el anterior, es decir, si quieres probar la v13 alpha5 puedes hacerlo si tienes el sorcerez (CD 2005)
Yo he pasado directo de la 11.1 a la 13.0alpha5, es demasiado tentador renderizar en a:m con AO, iluminando con HDRI, y las físicas, Cloth, etc.

Aún no he hecho algo serio, simplemente dejé instalada la 11.1 que es la que he utilizado todo este año, mientras probaba un par de versiones de la 12, ahora testeo la v13 renderizando cosas hechas en la 11.1. Como ya has adivinado, unos cuantos bugs, pero siendo la alpha es bastante estable, como ya anunciaron, se prepara para trabajar el largo t.w. O.

Lo que no dijeron y pillaron a todo el mundo por sorpresa es que está nueva versión venía con tantas mejoras y añadidos que se pedían a gritos.

Si no me da muchos problemas la 13 para renderizar con HDRI, aplicar los nuevos 18 Shaders que trae de paquete y el simbionte que ahora es nativo, seguiré trabajando con la 11.1 para actualizar directamente a la nueva cuando salga la release.

A mi me llegó ayer una carta de hash con las publicidad y el tal? N para actualizará que tentación. Pero lo haré cuando esta holgado, que estas navidades me dejaron con el bolsillo limpio.

Antes de irme de viaje me llego un mail de hash, informándome de que la versión 2006 ya estaba disponible, sin embargo, no la veo por ningún lado. Aún no ha salido.

Te explico: Una cosa es la versión en curso y otra el CD del año. En este caso el de este año es el Yeti, el cual trae la versión en curso (v12.0) la cual, como ya sabrás se va actualizando a través de descarga.

Puedes comprar el CD 2006 Yeti con lo cual cuando salga la versión v13.0 reléase podrás ejecutarla. Igualmente con este CD seguramente tendrás derecho a testear las alphas y betas de la versión 14 cuando llegue el momento.

Lo leí y estuve tentado a hacer el anuncio, pero al pasarme está mañana por Hash Inc, vi que ya había salido la beta.

Creo que está versión dará mucho de que hablar, sobre todo si logran quitarse definitivamente el lastre de software inestable el cual, por cierto, siguiendo las recomendaciones de Kevin Sanderson a mí no me ha dado problemas desde la versión 10.

Si se reporta bien documentado lo toman en cuenta inmediatamente y se corrige en el siguiente update. No me asusta porque creo que en hash aprendieron la lección con la v.9.xx de sacar versiones apresuradamente con mil cosas nuevas sin tenerlas pulidas. La v.13 la están utilizando en producción, al estilo orange Project, en two, deberían llegar a buen puerto.

Por los coches no te preocupes, YeraY me dijo hoy que ya le iba a poner las ruedas, que las tenía desinfladas o algo así.

Esta actividad no solo nos permitiría practicar y probar el software sino además ir añadiendo elementos para un buen portafolio, a mi por lo menos me hace falta.

Se puede sacar mucho de ello, grabarlo (mov, flash, pdf o html) sería un material útil para otros con menos experiencia o curiosos del programa. A fin de año podríamos presentar los personajes para la mascota del CD 2007. Ya solo con tener algo digno que mostrar sobre lo que hacemos es buen incentivo. En todo caso no liarnos demasiado, ya con la actividad es suficiente, es solo por dar ideas.

El estilo marcaría el tiempo a dedicarle, yo optaría por algo cartoon para no tardarnos demasiado. Podríamos pautar equis tiempo para cada fase, concepto y diseño del personaje, modelado, rigging (esqueleto y facial), texturas, etc. Podríamos escoger un diálogo en plan 10 seconds club o un gag/canción en plan Alien Song. Podría ser un tema común o cada quien el suyo propio.

Lo de invitar a más gente, tendría que ser alguien también interesado en probar la beta, a menos que hagamos el reto libre incluso para usuarios de otros programas, lo cual no deja de ser interesante. Vamos haciendo un brainestorming para definir ideas. Da igual que sea aquí, no es off-topic por el tema de probar la beta.

Los Picapiedra gran tío el YeraY, hoy me di el lujo de darle un ¡abrazo, en el mundo real. Espero que se repita. Lo de la beta, entiendo, podríamos asegurar la parte gorda del trabajo en la estable 12.0u y dejar para la beta el render, por ejemplo. Bueno, depende de si la ibl (HDRI) es muy lenta para animación. Podríamos utilizar AO, que también es nuevo en la 13. Lo que está claro es que es conveniente tener el modelo y el rigging, por lo menos, en la v12, la 13 utiliza un formato distinto y no hay compatibilidad regresiva, es decir, lo guardado en v13 no funciona en la v12 y anteriores.

En cuanto a lo de otros softwares tienes razón, dejémoslo en hashers, total es un reto, no una actividad de todos modos, a quien le interese la idea, pues reta a otro y ya está podrían haber cien retos paralelos.

Vaya, lo del image contest queda en eso: una imagen, ya me gustaría participar, pero yo me decantaría por tu primera propuesta por una razón de peso: crear una demo reel.

Tendriamos de lo más variado, modelado, rigg, animación, con una imagen sola quedaría pobre en caso de participar, ya que te volcaras en la estética solamente.

No me expliqué bien, me mantengo en la primera idea, solo que si hiciésemos un personaje mecánico, un robot, un Transformer, el hombre de hojalata o el quijote con armadura o similares/derivados, podríamos tomarle una fotografía al final y enviarlo al contest, es decir, aprovechar lo hecho, no hacerlo exclusivamente para el contest. La beta 2, ya está aquí. Una anécdota digna de mención (es verídica): Un usuario detecta un bug en esta beta 2, y dice el programa me falla, no se cierra. A esto le responde un veterano (Rodney) pues no sé de qué te quejas, eso quiere decir que no hay problemas de estabilidad.

Luego continúa el Rodney: ya me imagino en el futuro, una conversación: yo compré la versión am 2006. ¿Cuál aquella que no se cerraba? Si, tuve que animar sin parar hasta que sacaron el parche para corregirla.

Me ha hecho gracia.
