The British manufacturer has updated its electric Spectre model with two versions: the standard 593-horsepower and the sporty Black Badge with 670 horsepower, exceeding 600 kilometers of range. The decision comes after the company recorded a sharp drop in global sales, which forced it to apply discounts in the U.S. market. The brand is thus responding to a customer who demands more performance without sacrificing luxury.
Dual electric boost to compete in the premium segment ⚡
The Black Badge version of the Spectre goes from 584 to 670 horsepower, with a torque of 1,075 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is reduced to 4.1 seconds. The 102 kWh battery allows a range of up to 605 kilometers, 20% more than the previous model. Rolls-Royce has adjusted the air suspension and steering to handle the power increase without compromising comfort. The brake regeneration system has also been optimized to recover more energy in the city.
Discounts at the door and horses under the hood 🏎️
It is curious that a brand that always prided itself on selling cars without needing discounts has had to offer discounts of up to $30,000 in the U.S. to clear stock. Now, with 670 horsepower under the hood, the Spectre Black Badge promises to be as fast as a sports car and as quiet as a library. Of course, the customer who paid full price last year can console themselves by thinking that at least they don't have to wait for the update.
