The first images of a camouflaged Dacia Sandero driving on the road confirm that the hybrid version of the Romanian utility vehicle is closer than expected. The model, which shares a platform with the hybrid Renault Clio and Captur, aims to compete directly with the MG3 and other affordable Chinese cars. A proven and hassle-free hybrid system 🚗
Under the hood, the hybrid Sandero will feature the well-known 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 94 hp, combined with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery, the same setup already used in the Clio E-Tech. Total power will be around 140 hp, with a seven-speed automatic transmission without a clutch. Dacia is betting on mature technology to avoid mechanical surprises and keep costs under control. No ECO labels or pretensions, but with efficient consumption.
