フィリップス、両面ディスプレイ搭載モニターを発売しデータ共有を実現

Philipsは、23.8インチのLCDパネル2枚を背中合わせに配置したモニター「24B2D5300」を発表しました。診察室や自動車販売店などの環境向けに設計されており、両面で同じコンテンツを表示したり、独立したディスプレイとして機能したりできるため、向かい合った2人の間での視覚的なコミュニケーションを容易にします。

各画面は1920x1080の解像度と120Hzのリフレッシュレートを備えており、動きの滑らかな表示を保証します。ユーザーは、同一の情報を共有するためのミラーモードと、セット全体を2つの独立したモニターとして使用する拡張モードを選択できます。この構成により、従来のモニターを顧客の方に物理的に回転させる必要がなくなり、スペースを節約できます。

Philipsは、机の向こう側にいる人に何かを見せるために立ち上がったり首を伸ばしたりするという面倒な問題を解決しました。これで医者や販売員は、患者や顧客が何も理解せずにうなずいている間、画面を回すという厄介な動作を避けられるようになります。ただし、上司に片面でNetflix、もう片面でExcelを見ているところを発見された場合、「情報共有のため」という言い訳はかなり怪しくなるでしょう。
