The 2D horror series from Nippon Ichi Software, Yomawari, has arrived on PlayStation 5 in Japan via the PlayStation Store. The collection, which brings together Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows, has a launch price of 3,839 yen for PS Plus subscribers, rising to 7,678 yen on May 29. Originally released for Switch in 2018, the saga originates from PS Vita and PC.
A Technical Port with a Backstory 👻
The PS5 collection maintains the top-down exploration style and 2D graphics that define the series. Night Alone originally debuted on PS Vita and PC, while Midnight Shadows was released on PS4, PS Vita, and PC. Both titles offer a bird's-eye perspective and stealth mechanics to avoid creatures. The PS5 version does not include notable graphical improvements or additional content, functioning as a direct port of the 2018 Switch collection.
Ghosts Also Need Discounts 💀
A 2018 horror collection arriving on PS5 with a price that doubles in two weeks is a move worthy of a ghost: it appears suddenly and leaves you broke. PS Plus subscribers have a month to decide whether to pay less or wait for the scare to take the full price. At least the ghosts of Yomawari don't ask for a subscription to scare you.
