Microsoft has activated a temporary offer that allows you to download and play Dragon Ball FighterZ for free for 24 hours. The promotion, part of the Free Play Days event, does not require a Game Pass subscription or additional payment. The title, which usually costs $60, will be available until May 3, 2026. With a Metacritic score of 87, this 3v3 fighting game offers fast-paced battles and a single-player story mode.
Graphics engine and performance on Xbox series 🎮
Dragon Ball FighterZ runs on Unreal Engine 4, allowing for smooth animations at 60 frames per second on Xbox One and Series X|S. The game uses a rollback netcode system to reduce latency in online matches, prioritizing input synchronization over visual interpolation. On next-generation consoles, load times are drastically reduced thanks to the SSD. The Xbox Series X version achieves native 4K resolution, while the Series S stays at 1440p.
The classic problem of servers at peak times 😅
As is tradition with these offers, hundreds of players will jump onto the servers at the same time, causing the netcode, no matter how good it is, to sweat more than Goku in the Tournament of Power. Matchmaking queues will lengthen, and it won't be uncommon to see fights against the same opponent three times in a row. But hey, for 0 euros, one can't complain about getting their virtual butt kicked for 24 hours.
