The TP52 Sled, led by Francesco Bruni, won the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week. The team navigated adverse weather conditions, with constant rain, to overcome direct rivals such as Platoon Aviation and No Way Back. The victory confirms their consistency in a high-level fleet. ⛵
Key technical adjustments below deck ⚙️
The Sled crew optimized sail trim and hull balance to maintain speed in the variable wind gusts. The use of a more aggressive keel foil reduced resistance when sailing over choppy water. Additionally, the tacking strategy during moments of lower pressure was decisive in not losing the lead against Platoon Aviation.
Platoon Aviation, second on the water and at the bar ☔
Platoon Aviation came in second, but surely at the awards ceremony they asked for a change of weather. While the Sled took advantage of the rain to win, they seemed more interested in finding an umbrella than in the next tack. No Way Back, third, could at least boast of having seen more lightning than the port's meteorologists.
