The University of Seville has published the official list of venues for the June 2026 university entrance exams. Students will be assigned to centers near their original high schools, with the aim of reducing travel distances and streamlining exam logistics. Students are advised to check their assigned venue in advance and review schedules and regulations.
How geolocation optimizes venue assignment 🗺️
The assignment system uses geolocation data and postal codes to match high schools with nearby venues. This algorithmic logic, similar to that of route apps, minimizes the average distance traveled by each student. The database is updated with school census data, enabling efficient distribution. For 2026, new variables such as classroom capacity and public transport availability in each area have been integrated.
The algorithm also knows where you live (and your arrival time) ⏰
The technology is so precise that some students have joked about whether the system also calculates the time they will waste looking for parking. Luckily, artificial intelligence cannot yet predict the traffic jam on exam day, but it does guarantee that, at least, the venue will be a short walk from home. However, if you arrive late, the algorithm won't give you a hand.
