The jury has confirmed the artists who will create the monuments in Valencia's City Hall square in 2027. Pere Baenas, who was also involved in 2024, will be in charge of the main falla with a budget of 240,000 euros. His project, I Return to My Land, designed by JosĂ© LuĂs SantĂ©s, will pay homage to Nino Bravo. The duo Ceballos & Sanabria will create the children's falla.
3D Modeling and Ephemeral Engineering for a Sonic Tribute đ”
Baenas has previewed a render of the monument on social media, which will integrate digital design elements and papier-mùché structures. Laser cutting technology and parametric modeling will allow for precise reproduction of the details of the tribute to Nino Bravo. The large-scale falla will require a wooden framework and reinforced anchoring systems to support the weight and height, with a finish combining acrylic paint and fire-retardant varnishes.
Nino Bravo Resurrected in the Square, But Only Until March 19th đ„
The main protagonist will be Nino Bravo, although he probably won't sing live to prevent the square from collapsing from the fervor. Baenas has shared a preview of the monument with the promise that it will be emotional. Of course, as tradition dictates, everything will burn on March 19th, including the tribute to the singer. So you know: enjoy it before the flames perform their version of We Shall Not Be Moved.
