The MetalíZate job fair, promoted by FEMZ and Lacor Formación in Zaragoza, brought together over a thousand attendees and 45 companies from the sector. The goal is to fill 15,000 vacancies in Aragon, a sector suffering from a critical lack of qualified personnel but promising stability and professional growth. The initiative seeks to break old stereotypes and attract young talent.
Automation and robots: the metal industry does not fear artificial intelligence 🤖
Far from being replaced by artificial intelligence, metal trades increasingly demand technical specialization. Robotic welding processes, CNC machining, and CAD design require operators who program and supervise machines, not fear them. Digitalization creates new profiles, it does not eliminate them. FEMZ insists that dual training and certifications are key to accessing these positions.
We are looking for welders, not influencers: metal is not an Instagram filter 🔧
While some seek fame on social media, the metal sector offers stable contracts with salaries that do not depend on likes. The fair made it clear that handling a blowtorch or a CNC lathe is more profitable than editing dance videos. However, no one promises you can take a break for a selfie with red-hot welding. Reality surpasses the filter.
