Mazda has updated its compact star for 2027 with a rational approach. Without modifying the exterior that dates back to 2018, the brand focuses on safety and technology to comply with the new European directive from July. The only visual novelty is the Aero Gray color, which joins the other eight paint options. The Mazda3 remains a coherent alternative in the segment.
i-Activsense is reinforced with sign recognition and motorcycle detection 🚗
The i-Activsense safety system now incorporates an adaptive cruise control that reads traffic signs and adjusts speed with a single button. Intersection turn detection is added for the emergency brake assist, and motorcycle detection for the lane change assist, now integrated into the blind spot monitor. Secondary collision prevention and driver attention alert are also included. All this without touching the bodywork.
Nine colors for a car that hasn't seen a mirror since 2018 🎨
While other manufacturers redesign bumpers every two years, Mazda has decided that the Mazda3 was already pretty enough in 2018. The great aesthetic revolution is the Aero Gray, a shade that probably only the most observant neighbors will notice. The rest of the car remains intact, as if the design department had closed for permanent vacation. At least now it brakes on its own if a motorcycle crosses your path.
