The 2D platformer with RPG elements Mago: Hyperdelicious Edition will land on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch during the fourth quarter of 2026. Following its original PC release in 2022, this edition includes an additional post-game world and an easy mode for new players. Pre-orders are now active on Amazon and VGP, with standard physical editions priced at €39.99 and a Gourmet Box at €69.99 with extras.
A port with additional content and difficulty adjustments 🎮
The development of this console version has focused on optimizing the 2D engine's performance for each platform, maintaining smoothness in jumps and combat. The new post-game world offers additional levels that expand the base story, while the easy mode adjusts enemy speed and reduces damage taken. The Gourmet Box edition includes an art manual, a CD soundtrack, and a figure of the protagonist, all packaged in a special design box.
The gourmet edition that will make you wonder if the game is the extra 🤔
For €69.99 you get a box with a figure that will probably end up gathering dust on a shelf and a CD you'll listen to once. All to play a platformer that already came out four years ago on PC. But hey, if you need a wizard-faced paperweight and justify the purchase by saying it's to support the developers, go ahead. The retro experience has never been so hard to digest.
