HoYoverse has confirmed that the Luna VII version of Genshin Impact, titled The Truth Among the Pages of Purana, will launch on May 20. The update brings Nicole, a 5-star Pyro catalyst user; Lohen, a 5-star Cryo polearm knight; and Prune, a 4-star Anemo catalyst witch hunter. Three new faces to explore Teyvat. 🌟
Performance optimization and combat system changes ⚔️
The Luna VII version introduces a new elemental resonance system that allows combining attacks from two characters into a single action. Developers have adjusted the cooldown times of ultimate abilities, reducing their cooldown by 12% for 5-star characters. Collision detection in environments with dense vegetation has also been improved, a point that generated frequent complaints. The patch takes up 8.7 GB on PC and 4.2 GB on mobile.
The witch hunter who uses a fan to fight 🪭
Prune arrives as a 4-star character with an Anemo catalyst, but her design shows her holding what looks like a paper fan. On the forums, speculation is already running wild about whether it's actually a secret weapon or just an accessory to fan herself while her enemies dehydrate. Lohen, on the other hand, is a Cryo knight who will likely spend more time frozen than attacking. Nicole at least has fire, though her charged attack looks like a kitchen blowtorch.
