The new title from Traveller’s Tales, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, lands on platforms next May 22. Those who purchase the Deluxe edition can play from May 19, three days before the general release. The proposal combines classic building with digital bricks and a story centered on the Dark Knight, offering a family-friendly experience without major technical surprises.
Graphics engine and performance: blocks stacking without a fuss 🎮
The game uses a polished version of Traveller’s Tales' internal engine, inherited from previous titles like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This ensures a rate of 60 frames per second on next-generation consoles and PC, with dynamic 4K resolution. The lighting system has received adjustments to reflect the gothic atmosphere of Gotham, although the physics of objects remain the same as always: bricks react with the characteristic rigidity of the series. No innovations in artificial intelligence are expected, but hand-to-hand combat feels smoother.
The day Batman ran out of bricks and had to borrow some 😅
Of course, the Deluxe edition includes an extra Batman suit with pointy ears and a vehicle that will probably break on the first impact with a lamppost. It's the same old trick: pay a little more to feel like Gotham is yours before everyone else, while the rest wait patiently for the game to come out of the oven. Sure, at least the villains will still be as clumsy as ever: the Joker tripping over his own plastic bombs.
