The Local Police of Seville has carried out an operation against illegal street vending, seizing more than 3,000 counterfeit items. Handbags, wallets, and sunglasses imitating luxury brands were confiscated, with an estimated value of 100,000 euros. Officers acted at key points in the city where these products were being sold without a license.
The technological pattern behind luxury counterfeiting 🕵️
The production of these items replicates materials and finishes using digital copying and injection molding techniques. Counterfeiters use 3D scanners to capture original designs and computer-aided design software to adjust details. Although the quality is inferior, the precision in logos and stitching deceives buyers. The Police use databases and verification systems to identify the pieces.
Imitations handbags: low-cost luxury that doesn't go on sale 😅
For 30 euros, the passerby would get a bag that would cost 3,000 in a store. A bargain, if it weren't for the zipper breaking when opened and the logo fading with the first rain. Of course, the seller assured it was original, with the same conviction with which a politician promises to lower taxes. In the end, the only luxury was for the Police filling the evidence warehouse.
