The meeting of the negotiation table between the Department of Education and the unions has left a bittersweet taste. The salary increase, which was expected as the central point, has been left out of the proposal from Mari Carmen OrtĂ's department. The five unions confirmed that the pre-agreement does not include salary recovery or purchasing power, as previously announced by president Juanfran PĂ©rez Llorca.
The algorithm of precarity: no data, no increase 🤖
While teachers awaited a salary update, the department applied a logic of technical development reminiscent of an infinite loop: without an improvement proposal, the system generates no changes. The unions, such as UGT and STEPV, pointed out that the lack of an economic roadmap prevents any progress. In management terms, it's like having software without patches: performance stagnates and the user (the teaching staff) bears the loss of capacity.

Teachers have already grown accustomed to purchasing power recovery being like the yeti: everyone talks about it, but no one has seen it. At the table, the Department presented a pre-agreement so empty that even the unions didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In the end, they opted for the former: asking for more coffee while waiting for, perhaps, a real salary increase to appear at the next meeting, not just a rumor.
