Polish studio Gaming Factory and Meridiem Games have announced the physical edition of JDM: Japanese Drift Master for PlayStation 5, scheduled for release on July 24. This open-world racing title transports us to the fictional prefecture of Guntama, a 250-kilometer stretch of roads where street racing and drifting take center stage. The game features dynamic weather and a day-night cycle.
Driving modes and realism in Guntama 🏎️
The title offers two driving approaches. Arcade mode provides a relaxed experience, ideal for those seeking fun without complications. On the other hand, Simcade mode bets on greater control and realism, adjusting vehicle physics to simulate grip and weight. Guntama's open world includes urban and mountainous areas, with traffic and changing weather conditions that affect driving. The game also features a soundtrack inspired by JDM culture.
Easy drift or for the brave with a steering wheel? 🎮
With two driving modes, the game solves the classic dilemma: if you're the type who crashes into every pole, Arcade mode will make you feel like an expert. If you prefer to suffer like in real life, Simcade will remind you that you don't know how to do a J-turn. And all this while driving on Japanese roads that, of course, don't have a single construction cone. Drift has never been so accessible or humiliating.
