The IPEX LLM Tutorial, designed to accelerate large language models with Intel hardware, was abandoned in favor of direct contributions to the upstream ecosystem. Its documentation is still available, but without active support. This decision follows the line of other discontinuations such as Clear Linux and Software Defined Silicon. Intel maintains hundreds of active projects but prioritizes those with greater impact on developers and businesses.

It seems Intel decided to do spring cleaning, but in autumn. Six projects have passed on to a better life, although some like the LLM tutorial were already half-dead since the upstream projects stole the spotlight. The good thing is that the documentation is still there, like a ghost that never quite leaves. At least they didn't delete everything: you can still read how to accelerate your model, though no one will answer if you ask something.
