Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold, meaning the main development has concluded and physical disc production is underway. Pre-download is now available on PC, Xbox Series, and Game Pass, allowing players to prepare their systems for launch.

On Xbox Series X and S, the game can now be downloaded, taking up 135 GB on the Series X and 130 GB on the Series S. On PC, the required space amounts to 160 GB and an SSD is mandatory. Regarding graphics modes, the Series X offers two options: Quality with native 4K at 30 FPS and better visual effects, and Performance with dynamic 4K at 60 FPS and lower quality.

If you still have a mechanical 500 GB hard drive from 2010, bad news: Forza Horizon 6 forces you to use an SSD. Playground Games seems determined to make load times so fast that you won't have time to make yourself a coffee.
