Exlantix, the sister brand of Omoda and Jaecoo, is preparing to land in Spain in 2027. Its calling card is the RX Concept, a prototype that previews its Perpetua design language, characterized by fluid lines and sculpted surfaces. The model, presented at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, has been developed under the direction of Christos Pavlidis, former Ferrari designer, and marks the beginning of its European expansion.
Perpetua Design and Technical Development of the RX Concept 🚗
Under the leadership of Christos Pavlidis, the RX Concept explores an aesthetic language that seeks to convey dynamism through fluid proportions. Although Chery has not detailed the prototype's technical platform, the production version is expected to inherit the E0X modular architecture, already used by Omoda and Jaecoo. This base allows for both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain configurations, which will facilitate its adaptation to the European market. The brand anticipates that its initial lineup will include a mid-size SUV and a sporty sedan.
A Chinese Ferrari for When Yours is in the Shop 😏
That a former Ferrari designer is signing off on a Chinese car sounds like a gas station joke, but here we are. The RX Concept promises supercar curves with the reliability of a household appliance. The striking thing is that it will arrive in 2027, just when European manufacturers start selling you an SUV with the same design but with a €20,000 markup simply for having a prancing horse on the hood. Or a lion. Or whatever.
