Icelandic startup Euler has launched Euler Viewer, a free browser-based tool that allows LPBF metal 3D printing operators to monitor their processes in real time. The novelty: it requires no additional hardware and eliminates reliance on remote desktop software connected to the control PC, thus avoiding security risks for intellectual property files.
SOC 2 Type II Security and Direct Browser Streaming 🔒
Euler Viewer streams powder bed images directly to the operator's browser, without connecting to the printer's control PC. This cuts off the typical remote desktop attack vector, which exposed sensitive data. The tool features SOC 2 Type II security controls, a recognized standard in data management. Operators can view the process from anywhere, with just an internet connection and an updated browser.
Goodbye Pirated TeamViewer, Hello Peace of Mind 🛡️
Until now, the standard solution for spying on the powder bed from home was to connect a TeamViewer or VNC to the factory PC, pray that no one would enter, and hope the boss wouldn't find out. Euler Viewer arrives as a lifesaver: free, secure, and without having to explain to IT why you have remote access to the €500,000 machine. At last, remote metal printing no longer looks like a homemade cyberattack.
