The work The Amazing Adventures of Captain Cold has won the Audience Award in our edition. Behind this family project is the young Leo J. Neal, who together with his father Chris Neal achieved a balance between youthful vision and narrative experience. The result is an accessible and entertaining proposal that connected with the attendees.
The technical process behind Captain Cold 🛠️
The development of Captain Cold combined digital design tools with rapid prototyping techniques. Leo handled the conceptual modeling in 3D software, while his father supervised the narrative structure and stage timing. The integration of LED lighting effects into the costume required several iterations to synchronize with the actor's movements. The final result shows a notable technical polish within the independent circuit.
What happens when dad and kid agree 😅
That a teenager and his father work together without ending up shouting is already an achievement. That they also win an audience award is almost a miracle worthy of superheroes. Leo must have given in on rehearsal times and Chris on color schemes. In the end, Captain Cold shows that to succeed you only need a good script and a well-applied dose of family therapy.
