An international operation coordinated by the National Police has intercepted the first shipment of heroin transported in a previously undetected format at Madrid-Barajas airport. The drug, originating from Colombia, was camouflaged in construction materials. Officers arrested five people linked to a network seeking to open a new distribution route to northern Europe.
The technical camouflage that fooled X-ray scanners 🧱
The innovation in transport lay in impregnating heroin into flexible polymer sheets, inserted inside prefabricated plaster blocks. Laboratory analysis revealed that the substance was dissolved in an organic solvent and then solidified, making it difficult to detect by conventional scanning systems. To extract it, officers needed a three-phase chemical process. The network used false documentation from a construction company based in Bogotá.
The construction business becomes literally addictive 💉
The gang trusted that no one would check plaster blocks with a normal appearance. Wrong calculation. Now the five detainees will have plenty of time to think about their next real estate project from inside a cell. The heroin, of course, will no longer serve to build walls, but to draw up police reports. At least, the only collapse they will cause will be that of their business plans.
