Ubisoft has shown new videos of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, the remake of the pirate adventure. The parkour, stealth, and combat mechanics have been rebuilt from scratch using the Anvil Engine from Assassin's Creed Shadows. The result promises a smoother and more controlled experience, with refined landing animations and more precise jumps.
Anvil Engine applies its technology to the Caribbean 🏴☠️
The remake brings key systems from the Shadows Anvil Engine, such as manual jumping, which allows the player to create shortcuts with greater precision. Landing animations have been refined to reduce recovery times, and jumps are smoother. Stealth also receives improvements, integrating tools and vertical routes that benefit from more reactive parkour. Everything points to more direct control over Edward Kenway.
Now you can fall into the water with style 🌊
Finally, fans will be able to show off their parkour mastery by manually jumping into the ocean instead of doing it by accident. The new landing animations are so polished that even a stumble in front of a guard will seem choreographed. And if you fall, the quick recovery will let you try again before the shark of the moment decides you are the main course.
