Benicàssim has been the setting for the Trobada d’Escoles de Música, an event that brought together over 300 musicians from 12 bands from different municipalities in Castellón. The day focused on coexistence and collective learning, with workshops and joint rehearsals that strengthen the local cultural fabric and the musical training of the participants.
Technical coordination and assembly of 12 bands in a single concert 🎵
The logistics of synchronizing 12 musical groups in the same space required precise technical planning. Modular sound systems were used to adapt to different instrumental formats, from wind to percussion. The directors worked with unified scores and a system of visual signals for transitions, avoiding sonic chaos. Additionally, live acoustic balancing techniques were applied so that each section maintained its identity without overlapping, a common challenge in large-scale events.
The neighbor who thought it was a musical coup d'état 😂
While the 300 musicians were tuning their instruments, a local resident called the police, convinced that an international band had invaded the town. The confusion dissipated when the officers confirmed that the noise was, in fact, an out-of-tune version of Paquito el Chocolatero. Some neighbors suggested putting up a sign: Music is made here, not a revolution. Good thing nobody asked for the sheet music for the legion's anthem.
