Adobe has integrated a new feature in the beta version of Photoshop, called Rotate Object. This tool allows you to take an object in a pixel layer and rotate it in a 3D space, automatically generating the perspective and missing details. It is available for testing in beta 27.5.0, although its use consumes generative credits.
Workflow and control of the new 3D model 🛠️
The process begins by duplicating the layer of the object to convert. When activating the tool, a special Rotate Object layer is generated. The interface offers several methods to control the rotation: sliders in the contextual bar, manual controls on the canvas, or numerical values in the properties panel. After adjustment, the system processes the image, improving its resolution. The Harmonize option helps integrate the object into the background.
Your generative credits spin faster than a 3D object 💸
The functionality has a clear cost: 20 credits per rotation, with three free attempts to try your luck. It's a reminder that AI magic has a price, literally. Maybe soon we'll see an emergency spin mode that only costs 10 credits if you promise not to use it to put hats on your cats. The beta is open to feedback, in case someone wants to suggest a volume discount.
