On June 29, Schlage launches its Sense Pro lock in the US for $399. This model unlocks automatically when you approach with an iPhone or Apple Watch, thanks to UWB technology. It also opens with just a tap (NFC) and operates with Matter over Thread for greater fluidity. A proposal that promises to leave keys in the past.

How automatic unlocking works with UWB and Matter 🔑

The key is the ultra-wideband (UWB) chip, which measures the exact distance between your iPhone and the lock. When you are close, the door unlocks without manual intervention. NFC support allows opening with a quick tap. Additionally, Matter over Thread ensures a stable, low-power connection, integrating the lock with other home devices without relying on an external cloud.
