Audi has unveiled the Nuvolari, a hybrid supercar that delivers 987 horsepower and reaches 217 mph. With only 499 units planned, this model surpasses the R8 in performance and positions itself as the new flagship of the Ingolstadt-based firm.

The Nuvolari combines a twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric system that delivers instant power. The Quattro all-wheel drive and active aerodynamics manage the thrust. Its lithium-ion battery allows for about 40 kilometers in electric mode, enough to leave the garage without waking the neighbors.
