Following the success of previous titles, Koei Tecmo has announced Attack on Titan 3, a video game that promises to cover the entire plot of the original anime and manga. The novelty is that it will include new narrative arcs and the possibility of facing the Nine Titans. The title will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and the future Nintendo Switch 2, although there is no specific release date yet.
Graphics engine and mechanics adapted to the new generation 🎮
Studio Omega Force has confirmed that the game will use an improved version of its internal engine, optimized to take advantage of the SSD in current consoles. This will allow loading large-scale maps with dozens of titans on screen without performance drops. The combat mechanics focus on the omni-directional mobility gear, with refined controls for more precise movements. Additionally, the titans' artificial intelligence has been redesigned to react more aggressively and in a coordinated manner.
The Switch 2 will have to render Eren in rage mode 🔥
That Attack on Titan 3 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 is good news, although fans are already wondering if the console can handle the Nine Titans without them looking like Lego blocks. If on the original Switch the characters looked blurry, now we'll see if Nintendo's new portable generation is ready for so much raw flesh and devastation. At least, we'll be able to dismember titans on the train while pretending we're going to work.
