Three point one million for social employment and pistachios with a future

The Board has announced an investment of 3.1 million euros to subsidize 300 hires in non-profit entities. Associations, foundations, and NGOs will be able to hire staff to improve social, cultural, and environmental services. For the average citizen, this translates into more support for community activities and the creation of temporary employment in the social sector.

The agricultural sector organizes with the Pistachio Interprofessional Association 🌱

In parallel, the statutes of the Pistachio Interprofessional Association have been signed, a body that seeks to structure and bring stability to this emerging crop. Its objective is to coordinate producers and marketers to improve competitiveness, set quality standards, and promote research. This initiative aims to turn pistachio into a solid agricultural pillar, generating synergies with rural employment and diversifying the local economy.

Pistachios and NGOs: the combo nobody expected 🥜

While some prepare to hire social workers, others organize so that pistachio doesn't end up being just the snack at Board meetings. The combination is curious: on one hand, employment to care for people; on the other, a sector that promises to fill pockets with nuts. At least, if things don't work out, we can always set up an NGO that distributes pistachios among the needy.
