The Regional Government of Andalusia has approved an expenditure of 13.2 million euros to strengthen respiratory therapies in homes in the province of Huelva. The allocation, distributed across several contracts, covers supplies such as oxygen, mechanical ventilation, and other treatments for patients with chronic lung diseases. The goal is to improve care without the need for hospital visits.
Equipment and systems for assisted ventilation 🫁
The contracts include oxygen therapy systems, non-invasive ventilators, and positive pressure devices. These devices are installed and maintained in homes, with remote monitoring by healthcare professionals. The technology allows adjusting parameters such as oxygen flow or support pressure, adapting to conditions like COPD or pulmonary fibrosis. The logistics cover everything from installation to consumable replacement, with a technical service available 24 hours a day.
Breathe at home, but without paying the gas bill 😅
With 13.2 million, patients in Huelva will be able to breathe easy, even if their natural gas bill still gives them quite a scare. Of course, if the neighbor asks why you have a compressor in the living room, you can always say it's the new stereo system. The important thing is that the lungs work, even if the butane bill remains a separate matter.
