UGT Sues Click&Rent for Harassment of Union Delegates
The UGT Federation of Services, Mobility and Consumption has decided to take the vehicle rental company Click&Rent to court. The union alleges that the company is carrying out a harassment campaign against its representatives and has unfairly removed workers from their positions on the islands of Ibiza and Mallorca. This legal action comes after staff gathered on December 24 in front of the company's facilities to show their discontent. ⚖️
The Company Increases Pressure on Representatives
According to UGT, Click&Rent has reinforced a strategy aimed at destabilizing the delegates voted in by employees in March. Among the reported incidents are the dismissal of one delegate, the suspension of contract and salary of another representative, and the early termination of discontinuous fixed labor agreements. The union sees these actions as an attempt to intimidate a workforce of more than 140 people so they do not claim their rights.

- Terminate fixed discontinuous contracts ahead of time.
It seems that at Click&Rent the only rental they don't accept is the freedom to organize unionally.
UGT's Demands to the Company
The UGT FeSMC will not only take the case to justice but also demands immediate actions. It requests that the company reinstate the dismissed delegate and withdraw the sanctions imposed on the other representative. Additionally, it urges Click&Rent to comply with the law and meet to discuss salary increases and working conditions with the legitimate delegates.
