
The Parametric Façade of Pacha Ibiza is Renewed with 3D Printing
The iconic club Pacha Ibiza transforms its entrance with a pioneering architectural intervention. A team formed by the design studio Nagami and the architecture firm Ooze has created and installed a completely new façade using large-scale additive manufacturing. This structure replaces the previous access with a sculptural and dynamic form that changes how the space is perceived. 🏝️
Algorithms and Robotics to Generate Complex Shapes
The basis of the project is a parametric design that uses algorithms to generate a continuous mesh. This mesh visually evokes the movement and energy characteristic of the nightclub. To materialize it, an industrial robotic arm was used to print the structure layer by layer, using recycled ABS plastic. This digital manufacturing method allows building geometries that would be almost impossible to achieve with traditional construction techniques.
