SuperSplat, the free browser-based tool developed by Will Eastcott, has been updated to version 1.13, now allowing playback of animations in 4D Gaussian Splats (4DGS) format.
Exploration and Editing of 3D Gaussian Splats
SuperSplat, initially released last year, allows users to load and edit 3D scan data in 3D Gaussian Splats (3DGS) format directly from a standard web browser, without the need for specialized software.
Among its main features are:
- Import of data in PLY format.
- Options to hide, delete, or reorient individual elements.
- Volumetric selection tools to trim sections of the scan.
What's New in Version 1.13
The SuperSplat 1.13 update introduces one of the most significant improvements to date: support for playing animations in 4D Gaussian Splats format. Among its capabilities are:
- Playback of numbered sequences of PLY files.
- Incorporation of a timeline to manage the animation.
According to Eastcott, support for other 4DGS representations is planned for future updates.
