France VFX Renews Its Leadership and Sets Clear Objectives for 2024
The union France VFX, which brings together 25 visual effects studios and 6 specialized schools, has renewed its board of directors during its annual assembly. Continuity is maintained with Béatrice Bauwens (MPC/Transperfect) and Olivier Emery (Trimaran) as co-presidents.
Tax Credit, Visibility, and Attracting Projects
France VFX defines three key axes for this year:
- Defense of the International Tax Credit, which allows deductions of 30-40% for productions that hire French VFX
- Greater visibility among national and international producers
- Consolidate the Business Tour to attract new clients and global projects
A More Diverse and Competitive Ecosystem
Among its members are prominent names such as BUF, Mac Guff, Rodeo FX, and schools like ARTFX and ISART Digital. New players have also joined, such as Armada Studio (digital twins) and DRGNFLY, showing a growing diversification of the sector.
France VFX reminds that its role is not union-labor, but to act as a business lobby to defend the interests of the sector. In a country better known for auteur cinema, this bet on competing in the global VFX league seems to have its own flavor... and international ambition.
