Dynowish: When Childhood Dreams Come to Animated Life
TwelveP Animation is about to make Paola Myriam Visconti's literary dreams come true, bringing her creation Dynowish from the page to the screen. ๐ The series, which will be presented at the prestigious Annecy Festival, promises to be that rare case where the animated adaptation might surpass the original books... or at least have better special effects.
A Battle Between Dreams and Nightmares
The plot follows Dynowish and her siblings Ginny and Leo in their fight against the villain Arzimor, a sorcerer who wants to turn sweet dreams into nighttime terrors. Luckily, in this universe:
- Magic exists (and not just the kind from tight budgets)
- The siblings get along (something totally realistic, of course)
- Villains have elaborate plans (not like those bad guys who explain everything)
"It's like Harry Potter meets Pixar, but with fewer wands and more life lessons"

A Creative Dream Team
Behind this project are names that will excite fans of European animation:
- Francesco Artibani (Winx Club) in charge of the scripts
- Luigi Aimรจ leading the visual design
- Visconti herself supervising the adaptation
With this team, the series promises to maintain the essence of the books while adding that magical touch that only animation can provide. โจ
The Long Road to 2027
Although the premiere is scheduled for three years from now (a blink of an eye in animation production time), the project is already generating buzz in the industry. From its announcement at MIPCOM to the upcoming presentation at Annecy, Dynowish seems to have all the ingredients to become that rare case where the adaptation surpasses the original material.
So get ready for 2027, when we can finally see if this production meets expectations... or at least if it's better than that animated series we all watched as kids that was actually pretty bad. ๐
P.S.: If today's kids can wait three years for a series, maybe there's hope for their patience after all. ๐ฐ๏ธ
