Creating a Paranormal Rural Scene with Basic QCAD Tools
We will explore how to transform basic QCAD tools into a composition loaded with mystery, starting with the fundamental elements of a traditional American farm that we will later modify to generate an unsettling atmosphere 🏚️.
Construction of the Main Structure
We start our project by drawing the main house using the Line/Polyline tool, creating a base rectangle on which we will overlay a characteristic triangular roof of rural constructions. The symmetrical windows are generated using reduced-dimension rectangles that we will duplicate strategically while maintaining the architectural harmony typical of these buildings.

We continue expanding our design with the parallel barn, applying the same techniques but varying the proportions to create a more elongated volume and adding the characteristic sliding doors using vertical rectangles. The access path is drawn with organic curves using Spline, while the power poles are represented with thin vertical lines complemented with horizontal strokes to simulate the cables. The drought-affected fields are suggested through patterns of irregularly spaced dashed lines.

Incorporation of Supernatural Elements
To convey the presence of the sonic entity, we implement concentric vibration waves around the property using the Circle/Ellipse tool with semitransparent strokes in overlaid layers. The mysteriously opened doors are achieved by rotating copies of the original rectangles, while the sensation of vibratory cold is suggested through pale blue shading with 20% transparency around the perimeter using the Fill tool.
