Dragami Games has announced a delay in the release of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP for the Nintendo Switch successor console. The version, scheduled for March 26, 2026, is pending a new date. The studio justifies the decision due to the need to make substantial improvements in this edition and also in the version already available for the current Switch. They apologized to fans and promised to communicate the new schedule.
A Delay to Improve Performance on Both Generations ⚙️
Dragami Games' statement indicates that the extra time will be dedicated to significant updates both for the upcoming Switch 2 version and for the game already available on the Switch eShop. This suggests an optimization effort that goes beyond a simple adaptation, possibly seeking to take advantage of the more powerful hardware of the new console and, at the same time, polish performance issues on the previous model. The game, relaunched in 2024, exceeded 300,000 copies sold last year.
Juliet Needs an Extra Touch-Up to Shine on the New Generation ✨
It seems that even for a zombie hunter with a pink chainsaw and a decapitated boyfriend hanging from her belt, the generational transition has its complications. Dragami Games has decided that Juliet Starling deserves a more extensive tune-up before her big re-release. Perhaps the Switch 2 port required more sparks than anticipated, or maybe the current Switch version was begging for one of those patches that fix what couldn't be done in time. Fans will have to arm themselves with more patience than candies.
