Škoda's next electric flagship is revealing itself. The PEAQ, a seven-seater SUV, has been caught during winter condition tests with very little camouflage. These images reveal the almost definitive design of the model, which applies the brand's Modern Solid language. Its official presentation is scheduled for the second half of this year, with sales before 2027.
MEB Platform and Traction Options for a Family Electric 🚙
Confirmed by the brand, the Škoda PEAQ will use the Volkswagen Group's modular MEB platform. This technical base will allow offering different propulsion configurations, with options for one or two electric motors to adapt to power and traction needs. The estimated range exceeds 600 kilometers. Full LED headlights and some strategic vinyls on the bodywork are visible details that point to a final development phase.
The Camouflage That Camouflages Nothing (or Almost) 🎭
Brands have a peculiar concept of secrecy at this stage. They cover the car with vinyls that, instead of hiding, basically emphasize its silhouette and give it a 90s race car look. It's as if they were saying: look how big it's going to be, but don't pay attention to this small detail on the bumper. An effort we appreciate, because this way there's no need to guess lines between stripes.
