The Vithas hospital group is sponsoring for the first time the 48th edition of the Zurich Rock n Roll Running Series Madrid, which will be held on April 26. With more than 47,000 runners in the marathon, half marathon, and 10k, the organization will have ten assistance points along the course, five of which will include physiotherapists, and will be present at the Runner's Fair at IFEMA Madrid on April 24 and 25.

Vithas's strategy focuses on medical coverage distributed along the circuit. Of the ten assistance points, five will have physiotherapists specialized in sports injuries. This setup allows for treating cramps, contractures, or falls in real time, preventing a minor issue from forcing a runner to withdraw. Coordination between medical teams and the organization aims to reduce response times during the race, a key factor in long-distance events.

Because yes, 47,000 people will pay to suffer for hours, get dehydrated, and wonder why they didn't stay on the couch. But at least now, if you get a cramp at kilometer 38, you'll have a Vithas physiotherapist nearby to stretch your leg and bring you back to reality.
