Top Hat Studios and Molegato have released a new trailer for Twinkles Galactic Tour, a 3D platformer with a 90s anime aesthetic and low-poly graphics. The game follows Twinkle, a singer who must rescue her audience by traveling across the galaxy. Each level is synchronized with a song, where enemies and platforms move to the rhythm of the melody or the drums.
Musical Synchronization and Exploration Mechanics 🎵
The game's technical development integrates music as a central element of its design. Levels adapt to the rhythm of each song, making enemies, platforms, and objects react to the melody. Players explore alien cities, travel in Bavs' van, complete missions, and buy equipment. There are optional objectives like finishing levels in one go, against the clock, or finding hidden CDs to create upgrades. The narrative focuses on Twinkle's struggles as an artist, with a hangout system that reveals the characters' stories. The game will be available on PC via Steam, with no confirmed release date.
Rescuing Your Audience: Every Musician's Dream 🎤
Because, of course, being a singer is hard enough, but on top of that, having to travel across the galaxy to rescue your fans from some galactic danger sounds exhausting. At least you can buy equipment and try alien food between levels. Finding hidden CDs to upgrade abilities is a nice touch: nothing like a bit of retro collecting to justify not finishing the game on your first try. That said, if rhythm isn't your thing, you might end up more lost than Twinkle at an intergalactic karaoke.
