Bandai Namco has detailed the upcoming content for Super Robot Wars Y. On April 21st, the free 1.3.0 update will arrive, incorporating new area missions. The following day, April 22nd, the paid DLC Expansion Pack: Infinite Darkness will be released. This pack expands the game with units, missions, and a new difficulty mode.
Content Expansion and Mission Structure 🤖
The DLC introduces eight playable units and 26 area missions, adding to those from the base update. Technically, it adds a new support crew member and a Hard MAS TER mode for greater challenge. The inclusion of series like Space Runaway Ideon and Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack Beltorchika's Children implies the integration of new sprites, animations, and balance adjustments for these units into the existing combat system.

With a name like Infinite Darkness, one might think of a deep story. But perhaps it also alludes to the darkness your bank account sees after buying the DLC. At least they include a bonus mission and purchase rewards, a small consolation while you unlock the 26 extra missions.
