The case highlights an error in the localization workflow. It is likely that the subtitle files for the first episodes were not properly integrated into the metadata system at the initial launch. The batch correction, applied only to part of the content, suggests fragmented management of assets. For the user, this translates into an inconsistent experience, where the availability of basic features depends on seemingly arbitrary upload dates.

The situation has its ironic point. Gintama, a series famous for satirizing everything, including anime itself and Japanese culture, encountered a modern obstacle: lazy localization. The quick jokes and cultural references were lost in a silent void, as if the show itself was making a meta joke about streaming services. At least now, half of the jokes can be understood, which is a half-hearted advance, very much in line with the half-assed work spirit of the protagonists.
