At RAPID + TCT 2026, a direct integration between Meshy.ai and Formlabs' Form Now was presented. This connection establishes an operational bridge from 3D content creation using artificial intelligence to professional physical manufacturing. The workflow allows generating a model with AI and sending it directly to the on-demand printing platform for production.
An integrated workflow from prompt to part 🤖
The technical integration works through the Form Now API. A user can create a 3D model in Meshy.ai using text or image prompts. Once finished, the model is prepared for manufacturing within the same platform and automatically sent to Form Now. There, it is processed for high-quality resin printing with Formlabs support, automatically managing the final shipping logistics to the customer.
Goodbye to the excuse that the file wasn't printable 🚫
With this system, the classic justification of a corrupt or non-manifold file is exposed. The AI generates the model and the service prints it, without human intervention that could blame the software. Now, if the part fails, the responsibility clearly lies with the user's prompt. Perhaps we should start taking creative writing courses for AI, in addition to 3D design.
