BeXide has presented Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story, an adventure game that will land this summer on Switch 2, Switch, and PC via Steam. The proposal merges real work or study with a magical narrative. The player collaborates with Memorie, an apprentice witch from another world, in a relaxed atmosphere with a Celtic soundtrack. Using a Pomodoro timer, each concentration block unlocks chapters, dialogues, and changes in the witch's kingdom.
Pomodoro as a narrative and technical engine 🧙♀️
The core of the game is a timer based on the Pomodoro technique, which measures real focus sessions. Technically, this involves a progression system that links the user's concentration time with content unlocking. Each work streak modifies Memorie's environment: her room evolves, magical objects appear, and a hidden plot is revealed. There are no shortcuts or microtransactions; progress depends on time spent on real tasks outside the game.
Witches and deadlines: the perfect excuse to procrastinate 🧹
So now you can justify those hours in front of the computer by saying you're helping a witch decorate her room. Because yes, while you're sweating over a report, Memorie rewards you with lore and enchanted furniture. Of course, if you fail the Pomodoro, the witch ends up without new curtains. The pressure of productivity now includes interdimensional responsibility. At least the Celtic music sounds nice while you pretend to work.
