Marvel Comics has unveiled a new logo for the X-Men, moving away from their traditional heroic aesthetic. This symbol reflects the mutants' fall from grace, now portrayed almost as a bio-threat. The change precedes the launch of DNX, the upcoming title written by Jed MacKay and drawn by Federico Vicentini. The series will continue after the Shadows of Tomorrow event.
From Hero to Villain: The Technical Development of Beast's Corruption 🧬
The plot of DNX will pit the X-Men against the 3K organization, led by Beast. His transformation from hero to antagonist is a technical narrative process that dates back to his time in X-Force during the Krakoa era. Paranoia and an obsession with security led him to create armies of clones, a systematic corruption of his intellect. Now, his technical plan is to release the X-Virus upon the world, unleashing a global biological crisis that the heroes must stop.
When Your Former Teammate Decides to Play God (Again) 😬
There's nothing like a reunion of old friends, especially when one of them has gone from being the brains of the group to a megalomaniac with a Frankenstein complex and a virus in his pocket. Beast proves that a PhD in genetics and unresolved trauma are the perfect recipe for disaster. The X-Men, who already had problems with humans hating them, now must deal with their former colleague being the one doling out the hatred in vials. At least monotony won't be a problem.
