The animated adaptation of Infinity, the science fiction board game by Corvus Belli, is advancing steadily. The project strengthens its creative team with two heavyweights from Marvel Animation. Eric S. Rollman, former president of Marvel Animation, joins as executive producer. Alongside him will be Craig Kyle, writer and producer of projects like Thor: Ragnarok, who takes on the role of showrunner and executive producer.
Building an animated universe from consolidated experience 🎬
The incorporation of profiles with such extensive experience in animated franchises suggests a solid technical and production approach. Rollman brings knowledge in studio management and long-term property development. Kyle, for his part, brings direct experience in serialized narrative and character arc construction, key in a series with an extensive cast like that of Infinity. His role as showrunner will centralize the creative vision, a crucial technical factor for the coherence of the final product.
In case the wargame wasn't epic enough already 💥
With these moves, it seems the series wants to ensure that the on-screen battles live up to those we set up on the table. After all, if you're going to animate an interstellar conflict with armies of aleph, combined and nomads, you'd better have someone who has directed fights of Norse gods and mutants. We just hope the special effects budget doesn't depend on us selling our miniatures to finance it.
