Bandai Namco and Arc System Works have announced the release of a new downloadable character for Dragon Ball FighterZ. This is Goku in his Super Saiyan 4 transformation, inspired by the upcoming series DAIMA. The content will be available starting April 22 as part of the DAIMA Pack, which includes the character, twelve colors, Z stamps, and avatars for the lobby. The base game can be found on PC and major consoles.
Integration of a model with classic aesthetics 🎨
The addition of this Goku involves adapting a character design with a distinctive silhouette and fur details into the already established combat system. The Arc System Works team must integrate his moves and animations while maintaining the characteristic fluidity of the graphics engine. The pack also includes visual customization elements, such as avatars and stamps, which require asset adjustments for the online lobby interface.
One more monkey in the Goku zoo 🙈
The Dragon Ball FighterZ character roster is enriched with another variant of Son Goku. Players will be able to debate whether this DAIMA-themed Super Saiyan 4 has a place among the other versions of the same fighter. Meanwhile, the roster awaits the day a character not named Goku or Vegeta is finally added. Hope springs eternal.
