Valladolid extends the AUVASA urban bus service to the Santos Pilarica neighborhood, with the incorporation of the night line known as the owl. This expansion aims to improve the connection of the area with the city center and facilitate residents' mobility at night, responding to a long-standing demand.
Technical development of the new night route 🚌
The new owl line will operate with frequencies every 30 minutes from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, using standard diesel vehicles from the AUVASA fleet. The route includes strategic stops at key points such as Plaza Mayor and the Clinical Hospital, with an estimated travel time of 25 minutes. No electric charging systems have been implemented, nor improvements to the stop infrastructure, maintaining the existing bus shelters.
The owl arrives, but it doesn't bring wifi 🦉
Residents of Santos Pilarica can now return home in the early hours without relying on a taxi or the goodwill of a drunk driver. Of course, the bus still has the same smell of a squid sandwich and the 90s upholstery. At least now they can argue about the ticket price while waiting at an unlit stop.
