SEGA has announced the release of the Captain Majima Content Drop for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which will be available on April 29 at 5:00 PM PT / 8:00 PM ET. This update adds the playable character Goro Majima, famous from the Yakuza series, along with his vehicle, the Goromaru Special. It also includes special emotes and sounds to customize the gaming experience.

The content pack will be distributed as a free update for all owners of the base game. The character Goro Majima features a 3D model adapted to the CrossWorlds graphics engine, with specific animations for driving and drifting. The Goromaru Special is a medium-speed class vehicle with balanced stats. The special sounds include characteristic phrases from the character that activate during races, while the emotes allow for unique gestures in the multiplayer lobby.

Finally, a character who understands that the important thing isn't to finish first, but to leave a trail of chaos and an eyepatch on the scoreboard. While Sonic runs in a straight line, Majima will appear out of nowhere to spin around you. Of course, watch out for the Goromaru Special: we don't know if it's coming to win the race or to collect a Pachinko debt from you. At least the emotes will serve to say hello before you get overtaken on the left.
